October 10 hike on the Banks-Vernonia State Trail

Attendees: Kyle, Alfredo, and Donny. Photo submitted by Donny. Kyle wrote the following report:

The Manning trailhead was just off Highway 26 (past MP 30). The trail was paved smooth asphalt although we had to traverse a section of gravel road a few hundred yards down the trail. Most of the trail was shaded with trees. Autumn colors were just starting to emerge. We spent almost two hours on the trail and walked 3.6 miles round-trip. We treated ourselves to Dairy Queen afterwards.
