We enjoyed a nice stroll on grass and concrete from the PSU District through the center of downtown Portland, despite the weather feeling more like early April than late June. A barefoot (homeless?) guy in his 30s was spotted near Burnside-we dubbed him the "Bag Guy." No other barefooters were seen. Once we reached the north end of the North Park block, we cut across Chinatown, the Chinese Garden, through Saturday Market, and on to the Waterfront. As we walked back toward PSU, Mitch and his son parted company, and the rest of us enjoyed a late afternoon lunch at "A Taste of Bali" on SW Broadway. The good food at low prices plus casual atmosphere made this restaurant a real barefoot friendly business to be visited again.
